WORKSHOPS

He’s Still God!
Ever found yourself in over your head, wondering how you would possibly get through with your faith and sanity intact?  Life seems good and then out of nowhere a storm comes that threatens to drown your hopes.  Your storm might be a job loss, loneliness, a crumbling relationship, financial ruin, a serious illness, or the death of a loved one.  Whatever it is, suddenly your foundation is shaky, your footing is not as firm.

Through Biblical teaching and personal stories, this workshop will offer a friendly voice in the midst of overpowering circumstances.  It will outline how to anchor your trust in the God who remains faithful in every storm and cares with an everlasting love.  Whether stormy or calm seasons, God is eager to demonstrate His love and power in our lives so that we can know – He’s Still God!

Faith and Finances
Do you struggle in your relationship with money or haven’t quite grown into the money-manager God wants you to be?  This workshop will combine Scriptural teaching, practical tools, and hands-on activities designed to align your habits and attitudes to God’s plan for your financial best.  Topics covered will include budgeting, saving, debt, investing, giving, estate planning, relating about money, and other financial management topics.

Taking Care of You
Are you the kind of woman who tends to put everyone else first and yourself last?  Do you struggle with feeling guilty when you do something nice for yourself?  You aren’t alone! In this workshop, we’ll address five areas where women feel guilty about taking care of themselves. We’ll discover God’s beautiful truth and learn practical ‘next steps’ to take care of ourselves in a way that glorifies God, honors others and blesses our lives.

The Invisible War
We live in a world of distinct opponents; our very lives are a battle.  Yet too many times we lose more battles than we win because we don’t realize a simple yet radical truth: every struggle and conflict faced in the physical realm has its root in the spiritual realm.  It’s time to raise the shield of faith and fight the demonic forces at work in this world!  This workshop will demystify spiritual warfare so that participants can:
• Understand how the battle is fought by Satan
• Actively use the armor of God
• Find strength in prayer and sufficiency in Christ
• Be victorious over chemical, sexual, emotional, relational, and other strongholds

The Journey of Prayer
Strengthening our journey as disciples requires steady, faithful communication with God.  Some of us may feel stuck in our prayer lives, or perhaps we just don’t know where to start.  During this workshop, take time to receive practical, Biblical instruction on a life of prayer.  You’ll have an opportunity to apply what you’ve learned in a guided prayer time with like-minded women of God.

God’s Gift to You
God has given you a gift, but it is up to you whether or not you open it.  It is your birthday present, given to you by God at the time of your spiritual birth.  God assigns us certain tasks, and then equips us to do them in a manner that brings glory to Him and fulfillment to us.  This workshop will uncover what spiritual gifts are, where they come from, who has them, how they are received, and how they work within the church.  Develop a new vision for how you can use your God-given gifts to bring hope to your home, your church, and a hurting world.

The Power of Forgiveness
There is nothing more crippling than holding on to anger and unforgiveness.  These emotions, more than any others, have the power to consume all aspects of our lives, distort our sense of purpose, and destroy our relationship with God.  However, revelation comes when we realize that forgiveness is a gift we give ourselves rather than to someone else.  Forgiveness isn’t always easy, but under the power of the Holy Spirit, it’s always an available choice. Experience incredible freedom as you are challenged to root out the hidden and hardened places where unforgiveness remains.

Learning to Trust Him in the Midst of Loss
The faithfulness of God is never more evident to those looking for it than in the midst of tragedy, loss and disappointment.  Learn about His character and receive His comfort as you develop an eye for seeing Him in the middle of the grieving process.  God is able to minister to us through our grief and hurt and then use us to help others heal as well.  Be encouraged as you discover how God reveals His heart to us in the darkest times of life.

Seasons of Marriage (Panel)
Marriages are perpetually in a state of transition, continually moving from one season to another―perhaps not annually, as in nature, but just as certainly and consistently.  Sometimes we find ourselves in winter―discouraged, detached, and dissatisfied; other times, we experience springtime with its openness, hope, and anticipation.  On other occasions, we bask in the warmth of summer―comfortable, relaxed, enjoying life. And then comes fall with its uncertainty, negligence, and apprehension.  The cycle repeats itself many times throughout the life of a marriage, just as the seasons repeat themselves in nature.
